Reservation validation

Enable request approval by the owner.

The owner can enable manual reservation validation to maintain control over vehicle usage.

Enable validation

  1. Go to Settings > Vehicles
  2. Select the vehicle
  3. Enable Reservation validation

Validation process

Driver side

  1. 1. Creates a reservation
  2. 2. Sees "Pending validation"
  3. 3. Receives a notification when accepted/rejected

Owner side

  1. 1. Receives a request notification
  2. 2. Reviews the details
  3. 3. Accepts or rejects

Tip: Disable validation if you trust your drivers to simplify the process.

Reservation conflicts

If two reservations overlap:

  • A warning is displayed
  • Both users are notified
  • The owner must arbitrate

Locking changes to reservations

A second owner setting, off by default, decides whether drivers can still change a reservation at the last minute.

Once it is switched on, a driver can no longer edit or delete:

  • a reservation that starts in less than 15 minutes
  • a reservation that is currently running
  • a reservation that has already ended
  • a trip that has been closed

The owner keeps full control in every case, and can still edit or delete anything. The setting is meant for groups where a last-minute change leaves the next driver without a car.
