Where to find it
The logbook is a tab of its own in the bottom bar, between the calendar and the balance. On the web it has its own entry in the side menu.
It only tells you about the past. A reservation describes an intention, so it stays in the calendar. The logbook says what actually happened.
In a group that only tracks reservations there is no logbook, since no trips are recorded. The list of reservations is then read from the calendar's List view.
Trips, fill-ups and expenses in a single feed
One feed for three things
The logbook brings together, in one chronological feed and whoever created them:
Trips
With their distance, their driver and their cost.
Fill-ups
Fuel and charging, whoever paid for them.
Expenses
Servicing, tyres, tolls, fines, parking.
An All / Trips / Expenses selector at the top of the feed keeps just one kind. Fill-ups count as expenses.
Two amounts, never a single total
Two tiles at the top of the screen show two figures that cannot be added together:

Adding them would mean nothing: the first is a usage debt, the second money fronted. Each tile follows the kind selector, and the trip count and distance move down into the month headers.

Under each amount, the logbook says what that line means for you, based on your role and on who paid.

In a group where costs are hidden, trips carry no status: "to collect" would be a claim about money with no amount next to it.
By month, and by filter
The feed is sorted strictly by date and cut into month tiles. Each month carries its inventory at the top (number of entries, distance) and its two amounts at the bottom.
The filter sheet
A Filters button opens a single sheet where you choose:
The member, if you are allowed to see the others
The vehicle, in a group that has several
The period: current balance, this month, or the whole history
The kind of trip: private or business
Your choices only apply once you confirm them, all at once. Active filters then come back under the bar as removable chips, and the button shows how many there are.

Private or business trips
Every trip can be marked as private or business. You choose at departure or when entering the trip, change it afterwards from the trip page, and filter on it from the filter sheet.
Everyone sets their own default kind in their profile, under Preferences: that is the one pre-selected. A trip recorded before this distinction existed counts as private.
In the Excel export the label appears in a column of its own, ready for your expense claim.
Change history
Every trip and every reservation keeps a record of who changed what, and when. At the bottom of the page, a line gives the last change and who made it.
The See changes button opens the detail: for each edit, the value before and after, field by field (date and time, odometer, distance, cost, name, comment, vehicle).
Nothing changes quietly. Only creations and content edits are listed: validating a reservation or an automatic cost recalculation do not appear there.
Not to be confused with: the news feed
The news feed lives on the home screen, not in the logbook. It shows the group's latest events in real time: trip recorded, reservation created, fill-up added, message, new member, balance reset.
Pull down to refresh it. It is on both home screens, including in groups that only track reservations, where it carries the whole life of the calendar.
