The owner is not always the person with time to run the circle. A partner, a fleet manager, an association secretary: someone else needs to be able to invite members, fix entries and look after the vehicles. That is what a manager does.
Circle managers
Hand over the day-to-day running of the circle, without handing over the rates, the balances or the subscription.
A manager is still a driver
Appointing someone as a manager does not change their role. They keep their own trips, their own balance and their own exports, exactly as before. They simply wear one more hat.
The label Manager appears next to their name, and the member list orders people by what they answer for: the owner first, then whoever pays the subscription, then the managers, then the drivers.
What a manager can do
- Invite, remind and remove members, and share the team code.
- Look after the vehicles outside costs: details, availability, renewals, out-of-service switch, photos, parking.
- Create and correct the bookings, trips, fill-ups and expenses of other members.
- Approve or refuse booking requests.
- Release a vehicle left marked as in use.
What stays with the owner
- The circle settings.
- Rates and fixed costs.
- Balances, settlements and exports.
- The subscription.
- Deleting the circle.
- Appointing another manager — delegation is not itself delegated.
The line is a simple one: a manager keeps the records, the owner sets the rules. Correcting somebody’s trip is running the circle, even though it moves a balance. Changing a rate writes a rule that applies to everyone.
Appointing a manager
- Open Members.
- Tap the driver concerned.
- Switch on Manager.
The change takes effect immediately, and you can take the hat back the same way.
How many seats
One seat with Co-oto Plus, five with Co-oto Teams. Free plans and the discovery period open no delegation at all: delegating assumes a circle that is already up and running.
A circle that steps down from Teams to Plus loses nobody — the managers already appointed stay in place — but you cannot appoint another one until the list is back under the quota. See the plans and their limits.
