Vehicle inspection

Keep a clear photo record of the vehicle's condition.

Start and end trip photos

This option asks drivers to take a photo of the odometer (and, if you wish, the fuel or battery gauge) when they start and end a trip. Each photo is attached to that trip.

Enable it on a vehicle

  1. Open the vehicle, then go to the photo tracking settings
  2. Turn on the odometer photo, and optionally the fuel or battery gauge photo
  3. Choose whether each photo is required or optional

Required

The driver cannot start or end the trip until the photo is taken.

Optional

The driver is prompted to take the photo but can skip it.

Automatic reading: When the driver photographs the odometer, Co-oto reads the number on the picture and pre-fills the mileage. The driver only checks and confirms it.

The photos appear in the trip details, under Start photos and End photos.

The odometer photo is more than a setting: it is what makes a disagreement unlikely. The other safeguards of a smooth arrangement are gathered in private car sharing.

Storage and privacy

  • All photos are stored securely
  • They are visible only to the members of your circle
  • Trip photos stay with the trip history

A paid feature

Start and end trip photos are available with a paid subscription, and during the free trial period. The basic fuel receipt photo stays free for everyone. See the plans.
