QR Drive is a printable card that the owner leaves inside the car. The driver opens the phone camera, points it at the code, and Co-oto opens on the right vehicle, offering the action that matches their situation.
No menus to browse, no vehicle to pick from a list. Above all, that visible reminder in the car addresses the real problem with sharing: the trip nobody remembers to record.
The scan never guesses your intent. A printed card is silent: it cannot say why you are scanning it. So Co-oto reads the vehicle's actual state at that moment, then offers what makes sense.

A trip started from a scan follows exactly the same rules as one started from the home screen: group charter to accept, trip quota, vehicle already taken, existing reservation to reuse.
In a calendar-only group
If your group only tracks reservations, no trips are recorded in it. The scan then tells you whether the car is free, or until what time another member has booked it, and offers to book it. The instructions printed on the card adapt too: they will not ask anyone to start a trip that does not exist in your group.
A card that carries no personal data
The code identifies the vehicle, never a person. The driver comes from the account already signed in on the phone doing the scanning.
That is what makes the card safe to leave in plain sight:
it holds no personal data, neither yours nor your drivers'
it grants no access rights: it does not replace the keys and authorises nobody to drive
scanned by someone outside the group, it shows no information about the vehicle
A regenerated code stops working immediately. A card that has been lost, or left in a car that changed hands, is deactivated in seconds.
One card per vehicle
Every vehicle has its own card, without exception. The code is the car's identity.
Never do this: putting car A's card in car B. Every trip would be recorded against the wrong car, and your drivers' costs would be wrong.
Printing the card
The QR Drive workshop is owner-only. Open the Tools menu, then QR Drive.
Check the preview: this is exactly the card that will come out of the printer, with the code, the vehicle name and its plate
Add a custom message if you want (up to 120 characters), for instance a rule about fuel or how to return the car
Choose Print the card to get the PDF, or By email to receive it and print from a computer
Put the card clearly on display inside the car
Step four is the one that matters. A card that gets printed and then filed away in the glovebox is useless: its visibility is what reminds the driver to record the trip.
Several vehicles
The workshop shows one vehicle at a time, picked by name from a selector: ten QR codes lined up on a screen are impossible to tell apart. One button downloads and prints every card in the fleet at once.
The PDF is A4 and carries a single card per vehicle, vertical and compact, with the Co-oto logo, the code, the vehicle name, your message and the driver instructions.
Regenerating the code
Regenerating revokes the cards already sitting in the cars, so you will need to reprint. Use it if a card has been lost, or if the vehicle leaves your group. You are asked to confirm first.
In an underground car park
The scan works without a network. Starting and ending a trip are queued and sent on their own once the connection is back. Booking and adding a fill-up do need a connection and stay unavailable.
