Create my group
Step-by-step guide to set up your sharing group and start sharing your vehicle.
Before you begin, prepare your vehicle information: make, model, registration, average consumption and fuel price.
2 Create an account
You can create an account in two ways:
Option A: Email + password
- 1. Open the app
- 2. Tap Create an account
- 3. Enter your email
- 4. Create a secure password
- 5. Confirm your email
Option B: Google (Android)
- 1. Open the app
- 2. Tap Continue with Google
- 3. Select your account
- 4. Authorize access

3 Choose the Owner profile
After account creation, select Owner to create your sharing group.
Choose "Create a sharing circle"
4 Choose the sharing mode
Three modes are available:
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Vehicle Loan | Only borrowers record their trips |
| Logbook | Everyone records their trips, costs are shared |
| Reservations | Shared calendar without cost tracking |

5 Add your vehicle
Enter your vehicle information:
- Make — e.g.: Renault, Peugeot, Citroen
- Model — e.g.: Clio, 308, C3
- Registration — e.g.: AB-123-CD
- Fuel type — Combustion or Electric
- Photo (optional) — Take a photo of your vehicle

6 Configure the price per kilometer
The price per kilometer is one of the variables used to establish the cost of a trip. It is a fixed cost applied to each kilometer traveled.
If you don't know what amount to set, you can use your vehicle's consumption and fuel price:
- Consumption — e.g.: 6 L/100km
- Fuel price — e.g.: 1.80 EUR/L
- Calculated price per km — e.g.: 0.108 EUR/km
Co-oto automatically calculates the price per km from these values, but you can adjust it manually.

7 Configure fixed costs (optional)
Fixed costs are another variable for establishing the cost of a trip. They are distributed among all users according to their usage.
Some costs are calculated pro rata based on time of use, others pro rata based on distance traveled.
Here are the configurable categories:
- Liability and comprehensive insurance
- Other insurance
- Vehicle tax
- Vehicle depreciation
- Leasing
- Parking fees
- Flat rate amount
- Miscellaneous expenses

Your group is ready!
Congratulations! Your sharing group is created. You can now:
- Invite users — Share your invitation code
- View the calendar — Manage all members' reservations
- Receive notifications — Get notified for each new reservation
