Co-oto starts from a simple conviction: a car can be shared among people close to you without becoming a financial product. Here is what we aim to bring, to our users and to the community, and the promises we make to you.

Savings for households
A car is expensive even when parked: insurance, maintenance, taxes, a parking space. Shared, it spreads those costs across several households instead of just one.
Real sharing, not a disguised rental
We are not trying to turn a car into a source of income. Everyone pays back their real share, with no markup: it is saving money, not making a profit.
Less pressure on parking and infrastructure
A car shared among people close to you is one less car to buy, to park and to keep on the road. Parking spaces and roads benefit, and so do local communities.
An invitation to prefer sharing over ownership
Owning is not the only way to have access. A vehicle used a few hours a week is better off shared, for reasons that are as much philosophical as ecological.
Light mobility, no works and no hardware box
No station to install, no equipment to fit in the car, no infrastructure budget. An app is enough, and you stop as easily as you started.
Fewer new vehicles put on the road
The most eco-friendly vehicle is still the one that is never built. Sharing the cars that already exist avoids producing new ones.
Mobility where it is missing
In rural and suburban areas, public transport and commercial car-sharing often stop at the city limits. Sharing a car between neighbours becomes a genuine mobility solution there.

Never any advertising
No banners, no sponsored content, no commercial notifications. We live off your subscription, not your attention.
Never reselling your data
Your trips, your expenses and your messages are never sold, rented or used to target advertising. They serve to run your circle, nothing else.
Never a commission on your trips
Money flows directly between you. Not a cent passes through Co-oto and we take no percentage. A monthly or yearly subscription, that is all.
Your data belongs to you
We apply the GDPR and the Swiss nFADP. You delete your account whenever you want, straight from the app and without going through our support: your identity is anonymised on the spot and your access closed for good. The data linked to your circle stays pseudonymised so that the other members' accounts remain accurate, and a simple message is enough to request its complete erasure. Everything is detailed in our privacy policy.
No false promises
The price shown is the price you pay. You cancel from your phone's subscription settings, without having to write to us or justify yourself. We do not announce features that do not exist yet, and we would rather tell you clearly what Co-oto does not do than let you find out afterwards.
